If you are addicted to taking drugs and want to know how to stop taking cocaine then seeking professional help should be the first step you take. As each person’s addiction is different the treatment given to you will probably not be the same as anyone else’s but don’t worry because there will be rehab programme that will suit your needs.

One of the major problems with cocaine addiction is the euphoria an addict will get from the first few hits. This doesn’t last and the addict usually takes more and more of the drug to experience that high, it simply doesn’t happen and before they know it they are addicted to cocaine and not feeling very euphoric at all.

Once you have decided to give up your addiction to cocaine then you must remember that there are changes that you must make to your lifestyle. Throw away all your drug taking paraphernalia and try not to socialise with other people who are taking drugs. You will need to find something to occupy your mind and time, take up exercise and make sure that you are eating a healthy diet.

If at any time you feel that you are going to relapse and want to take drugs again phone a close friend or loved one to talk it over, go for a walk or even jog around the block, keep your mind occupied until that feeling goes away and soon you will be telling others how to stop taking cocaine.
