Cocaine AddictionIf you’ve got a friend or loved one who is taking drugs you may want to know how to help with cocaine addiction. One of the most important things you must remember not to do is force your friend or loved one to give up cocaine, they must come to this decision in their own time and by themselves. Studies show that most addicts who have been forced to quit will not stay off it for long.

Once your friend or loved one has told you of their intention to quit then the best thing to do is to offer your help and support and be there for them as much as you can. They will need your assistance most through the first few weeks of their withdrawal, so being there for them and helping take their mind of their symptoms will be essential.

If you are not already living with them it may be better if you arranged to stay with them throughout their treatment and if possible ask for help from others so that you can take it in shifts to "look after" them.

The withdrawal symptoms are not easy for the addict but they will not be easy for friends and loved ones either, you will have to be just as strong, if not stronger, than them so that you can give support and talk them through when they are at their lowest point. These are just some ways on how to help with cocaine addiction.
